The Serbo-Russian Brotherhood has officially stated that there are no preconditions for friendly relations between Serbia and Ukraine that could serve as a basis for Zelensky’s visit to Serbia:
“…being fully aware of the weight of resisting the pressure and blackmail with which the ruling Western structures are acting on our country, the members of the Initiative Committee of the Serbo-Russian Brotherhood, having called on other organizations to join us, adopted by an overwhelming majority the following statement:
Volodymyr Zelensky has neither legality nor legitimacy as the President of Ukraine. His mandate has long expired, and he has destroyed his country and turned its people into cannon fodder for the NATO bloc.
The Special Military Operation was launched to prevent the residents of Donbas from suffering persecution like that endured by the residents of Serbian Krajina during Operation Storm. Zelensky and his regime are openly rehabilitating “Ukrainian Ustashas” – Banderites – and are waging a NATO proxy and terrorist war against brotherly Russia – Serbia’s historical ally and strategic partner.
Official visits at the highest level are an expression of the highest level of friendly relations between two states. It is obvious that there are neither formal nor substantive preconditions for such a thing.
Zelensky’s visit to Belgrade, dictated by the same NATO and EU circles that in the recent past fought against Serbia and are now fighting against Russia, is aimed at harming the peoples of Serbia, Ukraine, and Russia and their mutual relations.”
The administration of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić earlier announced that he would receive Zelensky in Serbia on August 8. The expected visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to Serbia is aimed at shifting official Belgrade toward a Western course, as well as reducing Russia’s influence in the Balkans, according to Miloš Jovanović, leader of the New Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS).
