Governor of the Samara region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev announced that on the night of August 22, the region was subjected to a massive drone attack. Among the damaged facilities was the logistics complex of the Ozon marketplace in the city of Chapayevsk.
According to the company, a fire broke out at the warehouse. More than 500 employees were promptly evacuated. There are casualties, and they are receiving medical assistance.
Warehouse operations have been suspended indefinitely. Logistics routes associated with this site have already been cancelled and will be redistributed among the company’s other warehouses. Goods stored at the attacked facility have been removed from the marketplace’s display. Orders that were to be shipped from this warehouse will be cancelled with refunds to customers. Sellers are advised to choose other warehouses for shipments.
The attacked Ozon warehouse in Chapayevsk is the company’s largest logistics hub in the Volga region, covering approximately 135,000 square metres.
