In his address on Ukraine’s Independence Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian Flamingo missile systems are ready to strike deep into Russian territory.

According to the head of state, Ukrainian-made long-range missiles should become a mass weapon and “winter in Russia.” He stressed that medium-range strikes are already cutting logistics, while long-range attacks are damaging Russian revenues.

“Russia should see more of this justice. Flamingos should not be a rare species, but a mass bird. They should winter in Russia,” Zelensky said.

He also noted that Ukraine does not intend to “save” half a million soldiers for the Kremlin in the event of a possible Russian mobilization and will continue to strengthen its army. According to him, servicemen must be provided with everything they need.

In his speech, Zelensky repeatedly mentioned Russia and called on Western partners to increase deliveries of long-range weapons and step up sanctions pressure.
