The decision was made by the country’s president, Alexander Stubb, on a government proposal; it was prepared on an accelerated basis in response to an urgent request from Kyiv.

The package will include one type of defense product from the stocks of the Finnish Defense Forces. What exactly will be delivered, as well as the timing and method of delivery, is not disclosed for security reasons.

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said the country will continue to support Ukraine and supply it with material assistance. After the delivery of this package, the total value of military aid provided by Helsinki to Kyiv will reach €3.6 billion.
