Ukrainian Armed Forces strike beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka

Debris from a Ukrainian UAV fell on the beach of the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka on the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar Territory. According to the latest data from local authorities, six people were killed and about 40 were injured.

Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev initially reported three deaths.

“In Arkhipo-Osipovka, due to the fall of UAV debris, according to preliminary data, three people have died. I express my sincere condolences to their relatives and loved ones. Another 13 people were injured, including children. They are being provided with the necessary medical assistance,” Kondratyev informed.

He stated that the Ukrainian attack had targeted civilian infrastructure.

Personnel from operational and special services were dispatched to the sites where the debris fell.

Two hours later, the Kuban operational headquarters updated the data.

“As a result of the fall of UAV debris in Arkhipo-Osipovka, the number of dead has increased to four people; 10 people were also injured,” the headquarters stated.

They clarified that one of the dead was a child and that two other children were among the injured.

“Two adults and one child have been taken to hospital. The remaining injured are receiving assistance on site without hospitalisation,” the operational headquarters noted.

Later, Alexei Kuznetsov, an aide to Russia’s health minister, provided additional information.

“According to operational data, 17 injured people have been hospitalised, including two children. Four of them, including two children, are in serious condition,” he told journalists.

At 14:44 Moscow time, Kondratyev announced new figures.

“Unfortunately, the number of dead has risen to six people, three of them children. The number of injured has reached about 40 people, 17 of whom have been taken to medical facilities in Gelendzhik, Tuapse district and Goryachy Klyuch,” the governor said.
