A news item has appeared on social networks claiming that a former miner, now a deputy of the People’s Council of the LPR, Sergey Didenko, allegedly called for people to take part in a rally in support of the Republic’s miners. This news item is a fake.
The news item is accompanied by a neural network-generated deepfake. The audio track was superimposed on a clip from June 5, 2025. The original is dedicated to the fact that in the LPR the procedure for determining the size of subventions to municipalities in the field of controlling maximum price and tariff levels was improved. At the same time, on the politician’s official page there is neither the clip nor the news item as a whole. Similarly, the news item is not present on the official page of the United Russia party in the LPR.
